As you know, I am a firm believer in natural and alternative medicine as well as western and surgical medicine. I am an integrative orthopedic surgeon and find alternative methods of treatment, such as aromatherapy, to be beneficial to wellness. I often use aromatherapy for myself, family, and friends. It is known to have great healing powers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aromatherapy In Practice<\/h2>\n

Many studies demonstrate the power of the olfactory system as it pertains to health.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For instance, there is good clinical data that post-operative nausea can be very effectively managed by simply smelling peppermint oil. It has, in fact, been recommended as one of the best first-line treatments for nausea. The worst-case scenario that one might face when using peppermint oil for this condition is that it doesn\u2019t reduce nausea enough, but there are no known side effects of smelling peppermint at a reasonable rate and amount. \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

How I Use Aromatherapy<\/h2>\n

I often use candles to scent my home and provide a pleasant environment for stress-reduction. Locally, wonderful candles are produced at Nouvelle Candle Company<\/a> in St. Francisville. This company puts a significant amount of essential oils in the candle and also ensures that the oils are well-mixed with the carrier wax. This provides a good scent throughout the burn life of the candle which is important if you seek aromas to provide certain effects.<\/span><\/p>\n

These candles are hand-made and packaged in Louisiana. This is amazing! It is wonderful to find a local manufacturing company that is making a product that improves health and doesn\u2019t cause toxicity or obesity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The candles from Nouvelle Candle Company are very high quality and are hand-made in St. Francisville with great care. I personally use these candles and love them, which is why I highly recommend this product to promote wellness and peace in your home and life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
