If you\u2019re suffering from pain in your neck, shoulders, back, or spine, <b>it can be difficult to go about your day, exercise, find a comfortable position while trying to sleep, and more.<\/b><\/p><p>Neck and back pain is so common, most doctors consider it part of the human condition. These very common and normal pains are totally treatable however; usually, they may be treated without narcotics or procedures. Here are a few ways you can relieve some of that pain:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6f5c823 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6f5c823\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Figure Out The Cause<\/h2><p>First, you want to figure out what\u2019s causing your pain. Sometimes, this is easy &#8211; if you spent a day working in the garden, painting, or working on some other house project that required you to move your arm in a repetitive motion you don\u2019t normally, or crane your head back, that\u2019s probably the cause. Generally, we are so out of shape and deconditioned that even normal activities cause muscle soreness. While this is quite sad, it is quite true.<\/p><p>However, sometimes neck and back pain can point to an underlying issue that needs addressing. <b>Either way, if your pain is very sharp, doesn\u2019t fade with OTC painkillers, rest, and ice, it\u2019s a good idea to always consult with your doctor about it.<\/b> If you have any reason to think your back pain is more than muscle soreness, it never hurts to seek professional evaluation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-922a6cf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"922a6cf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Change How You Sleep<\/h2><p>One of the best ways to fight neck and back pain is through ensuring you\u2019re laying in a comfortable position when you sleep &#8211; one that doesn\u2019t put undue strain on those areas. <b>Your body does most of its self-healing work while you\u2019re sleeping,<\/b> so this is a great time to give any aches and pains a rest and time to recover.<\/p><p>You should only sleep with one pillow under your head\/neck at night. To make sure your neck is properly supported while you sleep, you can tuck a small neck roll into your pillowcase, use a special pillow with built-in neck support, and <b>make sure to sleep on your side or back.<\/b><\/p><p>For back pain, you\u2019ll want to do the following:<\/p><ul><li>Lay flat on your back.<\/li><li>Tuck a pillow under your knees to protect the curve in your lower back.<\/li><li>You can also place a smaller pillow or rolled-up towel under the small of your back for additional support.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-98dbc35 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"98dbc35\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Visit A Physical Therapist<\/h2><p>If your pain persists, it\u2019s time to visit a physical therapist.
